The freedom I experience when I am out riding in the back country, the smell of sage brush in the air, inspires me to paint pastel landscape paintings.
Link to Art GalleryI grew up in a beautiful rural area along the central coast of California. My family and I lived on a small ranch where we raised horses and farm animals. My sister and I would roam the hills, valleys and arroyos on our horses from daylight to dusk. I have always enjoyed the feel of a good horse beneath me and the freedom when I am out riding in the back country. There's nothing like the smell of sage brush in the air while riding high upon the chaparral to take the stress out of everyday life. Though life has taken me in many directions, I have stayed close to my roots. Nowadays, my granddaughters, my husband and myself ride as often as we can.
